Class 1A: Getting Started in Scrapbooking
This class is for anyone who would like to see what modern archival scrapbooking is all about and what you need to get started in this craft.
If you have wanted to try scrapbooking but have been intimidated by the elaborate layouts you see in magazines, this class is for you!
If you have been to a scrapbook store and come away with all sorts of pretty things and don’t know what to do with them, this class is for you!
If you just want to try this craft out without having to put out a lot of money beforehand to buy tools, etc., this class is for you too!
Cost: $20.00

Class time: 9:00 am- 11:00 am October 4
You will receive:
- Handout, talk, and demonstrations about getting started in scrapbooking.
- Class kit containing all you will need to make a one-page layout in class as well as enough left over to make at least one other page on your own.
- Use of all tools required to make your project
- Chance at an in-class door prize.

You will need to bring:
- THREE PICTURES (1 horizontal and 2 vertical OR 2 horizontal and 1 vertical) for the page we will do in class. Anything to go with the papers shown will be okay, including beach, sailing, pool, summer holidays, winter holiday to a sun destination, etc. If your pictures aren’t so “sea-sidey” we can adapt the layout – no worries!
- Any other pictures you want to use for a second layout to do on your own using the same colours, if you want to work on that during the afternoon. Any 1-4 pictures will work.
- ONLY IF YOU HAVE THEM (don’t buy especially for this class as I will have some to lend you): a 12 inch paper trimmer, quilting or grid ruler, small sharp scissors, 2-inch circle punch, black or dark blue fine archival pen. If you have any of these you can avoid waiting to use mine but they are not required.
- MOST IMPORTANT: An open mind and a sense of fun (and your luck so you can win the prize!).
